Daniel Katz combines the ancient art of acupuncture and herbal medicine with the contemporary modalities and manual techniques of physical therapy.
Daniel received clinical training and a Masters of Science of Oriental Medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, and a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College. He has many years of experience practicing in hospitals and private clinics. Daniel has worked in several unique settings, including the Immune Enhancement Program at the Institute for Traditional Medicine, which is nationally known for its work with cancer, autoimmune and neurological disorders. He has also worked as a mentor in the Maine Medical Center Integrative Medicine Department.
Daniel gives lectures presenting both physical therapy and Chinese Medicine topics to professional and community groups. In addition to being part of the Wildwood lecture series, he has been a guest lecturer at Maine Medical Center, Mercy Hospital and The University of Southern Maine.
Daniel and his wife, Sasha Rose, founded Wildwood in 2005 in order to create an environment that fosters a new and integrated approach to health care in the Portland community.
Daniel and Sasha live in Falmouth with their two children.
