Lauren Breau is a Lewiston native and Bowdoin College alumnus. After graduating from Bowdoin, she moved across the country to pursue a 4 year graduate degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2009, Lauren graduated with a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.
Because she strongly believes in the science of medicine as well as the art of healing, Lauren is constantly pursuing more knowledge in the subjects of acupuncture, herbs, functional medicine, and Western biomedicine. She also believes that the practice of (good) medicine involves acknowledging inequity and fighting for social justice, and her desire to increase accessibility to acupuncture and herbal medicine lead her to help open Wildwood Community Acupuncture.
Lauren loves to write about the many ways people can find health in a style that is well-researched, transparent, and, of course, terribly charming. See her work here.
